After doing a review on the ZealSurf Rocket, I decided that this is the board I want. I’ve had my VanHunks 9’6 for a while now, it’s an older model – 2014 if I recall correctly – and whilst that is a good solid beginner / intermediate SUP Surf board I felt I wanted a more progressive board. Like any other ocean / water sports there are inherent dangers that you need to be aware off. As a stand up paddler one of the biggest dangers are offshore winds i.e. a wind that blows from the land out to sea. Remember the same applies to lakes and rivers. Arriving at the water point I literally drop my bike in the shade, stumble to get my water bottled refilled and grab some more jelly beans. It’s frikkin hot and all my enthusiasm for a 100km cycle has gone out the window… I just want to finish this bloody thing now.
